I am acquiring small wrinkles around my eyes and my eyelids are getting droopy. Any tips on how to give my eyes a lift?Does anybody have any secret beauty tips?
Hey girl,
It's CandyCouturexo here.
Tips!! You have come to the right person!!
I have very droopy eyes.. I have found that using a concelear that is 1-2 shades lighter than your actual skin tone is awesome to use under the eyes. Put some concelear on your finger, then push under/around eyes.
Use some black mascara on your lower lash to give your eyes a lift.
Also use some white eyeliner under the eyes as well. They give your eyes a real ';lift!'; Hope this helped hun!! %26lt;3
Love,

Dear Paula, I am 50 years old and people keep asking me why I look like a college student. I am sure that much of our physical health is dependant upon healthy lifestyle. I was a swimmer in my college days and have kept swimming and exercising pretty much consistently for all of my life (I have had episodes of putting on weight, foregoing exercise because I was ';too busy'; (foolish, but normal reasons), losing weight, getting too much sun, having facial redness from wind-burn, episodes of dry skin, oily skin, ';exhausted face'; from sleepless nights - but for the most part I still look young and will gladly share my knowledge with you:
One of the the greatest ways to do a face lift for yourself is to exercise your facial muscles. Just like anything else that droops (boobs, butts, arms) - it is always because of lost muscle tone. Under your skin, you have facial muscle tissue. Look at your face in the mirror and do facial muscle contortions, so as to tone those muscles. Move your jaw side to side, up and down, Make your eyes big as you stretch your forehead. look at ';www.shapeyourface.com'; for excellent facial exercises and also google ';facial muscle exercises'; to get some excellent advice. If your jaw muscle are in good shape and you keep to a good diet, there is not excess facial fat that is making your eyes droopy, right ? But more importantly, you should adopt a totally holistic view about beauty and health, so I share my knowledge with you - there are no ';big secrets'; only common sense in healthy living, OK?
1. As much as possible avoid UV rays from the sun, tanning salons - nothing so ruins the DNA of our skin as the radiation that we can and should avoid. The same goes for keeping your skin safe from the sun during skiing (the reflection from the snow will burn as much as being on a beach in the tropics). Also as much as possible protect your facial skin from cold and wind as this is like freezer-burn on meat and it harms the skin, though healing is possible. I have never spend big bucks on expensive ';miraculous'; facial creams, because I think that we could have the best creams with natural products - I use a mixture of cucumbers, honey and chamomile tea as a soothing cream every few days or so. I find that moisturizers that contain any type of alcohol (look at the product composition and look for alcohol-free) - I find that alcohol causes drying and irritation (but every person's skin is different) and I am sure that there are some good products out there - but it's like a lottery. I have found that any cream that has Vitamin K is excellent for skin - good luck finding a face cream that is good for you and then stick with it. Sometimes too much experimentation with different creams gets expensive and also could irritate your skin. Oil-free products are also very important, because your skin must breathe! Nothing is so regenerative to our skin as Oxygen and you don't want to block your pores during the day, but especially also not at night. So be frugal with butters, oily creams, etcetera - let your skin breathe and regenerate as you get restful sleep. If you need ideas about good creams or natural products just google ';beautiful skin natural products';, ';skin repair natural products'; and do some of your own research.
2. Diet is essential. I have not eaten at fast food places since my college days. Eat lean meats, boil chicken, turkey legs, drain the grease from roasted meats such as beef, turkey, chicken (chicken breasts are great), use all fats sparingly (why use butter, when you could use healthy products with no trans fats, but full of omega-3 oils (non-hydrogenated, non-saturated fats). I eat bacon maybee once or twice a year, use virgin olive oil for cooking and dressings, take my fish oil daily. I think that fats are so destructive to skin tissue, because it causes fat pockets to form around your neck, under the eyes, giving you hamster cheeks - why do that to yourself when it is so easy to eat healthy. Any healthy diet will show in the healthiness of your face. Stay away from high cholesterol, smoked, sodium laden foods and eat plenty of dark greens, grapes, blueberries and the foods that are high in anti-oxidants. the formation of free radicals (the oxidants) are destructive to inner organs and facial tissue, also blood vessels, muscle tissues. I read ';Men's Health'; and ';Pevention'; - you could find tons of healthy food tips for healthy skin and overall health online and in the excellent journals concerned with health (There is a ';Woman's Health'; that is published now - take a look next time you are doing your grocery shopping) Also you could google ';healthy diet for healthy skin';.
3. As much as possible try to get your sleep in order. Sleep is so healing ! I have had problems with snoring and being exhausted and looking like I aged 10-20 years overnight. I went to get medical help for my sleep and within days I felt as energetic as a teenager. (I sleep with many pillows under my head, so that my head would be raised - it stopped my snoring). Just make sure that your sleep is restful, healthy and refreshing. Nothing shows so much on your face as a sleepless night, a night of partying, sleeping in a room with closed windows and no fresh air, etcetera. If you are having problems, get medical advice for healthy sleep and rest.
4. In general, try to live a good and moral life. The face is often a window to the soul. Be nice ! Be a really really nice person - kind, generous, humble, patient, good-hearted, loving, gentle and caring, thinking about the well-being of others, helpful, sincere, doing away with any feelings of anger, revenge or anything that is inconsistent with the definition of a good and moral and gentle and joyous person. Bring joy into the life of others as much as possible and accept the joy and love of family and friends and co-workers. As much as possible, value your health as the greatest gift of life, the most precious treasure that you have - don't abuse your fantastic human body machine with alcohol, cigarettes (Yuck!) or other poisons). If you party, be smart - don't party like an animal, but with beauty and grace - wine and cheese and some pizza and great beer is fantastic, but not every day, right ? It seems that it's not only logical, but also joyful to live a healthy, loving, joyous, sincere, self-giving and good-hearted life.
May you have Peace and Great blessings in your life's journey.
I remember a saying that we as friends used to say when I was in college ';A person does not grow old by living a certain number of years, a person grows old by losing the idealism of one's youth';.
Just for your info - I am a man, I have a Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry and Pastoral Psychology, I work in the service of caring for people in many aspects of sad life episodes (illness, grief, the aged, addiction, broken hearts, etc.) I don't spend a lot of time or money trying to look good, just living a healthy and virtuous life by the grace of God. I believe that many of the most beautiful people I have met have been so because of natural methods (such as cucumbers and honey) and the simple good and joyous life.
May you be blessed, Sincerely, Father Pierre
